Purpose of the Role
The Contingent Worker – Emergency Roster supports rapid emergency response operations and field-based activities across multiple sectors. This includes:
- Conducting field assessments and household visits
- Supporting data collection and data entry
- Assisting in the distribution of kits and emergency items
- Contributing to monitoring and outreach activities
Key Responsibilities
1. Field Work & Emergency Response
- Conduct household visits and field assessments across all North regions to identify needs and vulnerabilities
- Participate in rapid needs assessments, surveys, and monitoring activities
- Support distribution of kits and emergency items (e.g., CRIs, WASH items, etc.) as required
- Assist in service monitoring and post-distribution activities
- Provide accurate information to beneficiaries on available services and referral pathways
- Support community outreach and awareness sessions
2. Data Collection & Data Management
- Collect data using digital tools (e.g., Kobo/ODK) and paper forms when needed
- Ensure accurate, timely, and complete data entry into relevant systems
- Maintain updated data sheets, logs, and records
- Verify data quality and report inconsistencies to supervisors
- Ensure proper documentation, filing, and archiving of collected data
3. Reporting & Coordination
- Report field activities and findings to the assigned focal point
- Coordinate closely with M&E and program teams during fieldwork
- Follow assigned plans and adapt to changing field conditions
4. Compliance & Accountability
- Adhere to NRC policies, including:
- Program Participant Protection Policy
- Code of Conduct
- Child Protection Policy
- Ensure:
- Confidentiality and data protection at all times
- Proper referral of protection cases through official channels
- Respectful and ethical engagement with communities
Critical Interfaces
- M&E Coordinator and officer
- Project Managers and field teams
Qualifications & Skills
- High school certificate or equivalent
- Previous experience in:
- Field work
- Data collection
- Community outreach
- Familiarity with digital data collection tools (Kobo, ODK) is an asset

- Good communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work across different locations in Bekaa
Languages
- Fluent in Arabic (spoken and written)
