Background and Purpose
World Vision Lebanon (WVL) is implementing research projects across Lebanon.
To support the effective implementation of these research efforts, WVL seeks to recruit research interns to provide assistance in research-focused activities. The role is essential for ensuring high quality and ethical research, particularly in contexts involving vulnerable individuals and communities.
Key Responsibilities
- New and on-going research projects in sectors of WASH, Livelihoods, Child Protection, and Education
The intern will be expected to support the research teams throughout the literature review and the processes of designing research methodologies. - Data Collection & Analysis
The intern will be expected to participate in supporting with selecting and developing data collection tools, collecting data on the field, managing data, and analyzing data. - Reporting & Presenting
The intern will be expected to participate in supporting in report write up and dissemination of research findings.
As part of this internship, the interns will be invited to work at World Vision offices, will be included in regular team meetings, and will report to supervisors at the office and on the field.
He/She will be exposed to a wide array of projects in which their project management, data management, and scientific writing skills will be used.
Knowledge and Skills Required
- Currently majoring or with a background in relevant fields of study (public health, psychology, social sciences etc.)
- Knowledge in at least one reporting format (APA, MLA etc.)
- Strong English writing and communication skills
- Proficient in computer skills, especially Microsoft Office
- Demonstrable knowledge in relevant topics is an asset (humanitarian programming, education, child protection, livelihood, peacebuilding)
- Experience in working in disadvantaged communities and vulnerable groups is an asset
- Volunteering background is an asset
