JOB SUMMARY
The Entrepreneurship/Business Development Trainer specializes in equipping aspiring the beneficiaries with essential skills, mentoring, and practical knowledge to launch, manage, or expand their Home-based businesses. These professionals will deliver curriculum covering business planning, financial management, marketing, and leadership, utilizing methodologies like the ILOs’ Start and Improve Your Business (SIYB) or specialized workshops for specific demographics.
The training shall focus on providing the beneficiaries with the knowledge and practical tools that allow them to identify the right market opportunities, including creating market linkages, business models, cash flow, customer segments, financial statements, marketing planning, feasibility study and market assessment.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under overall guidance and direct supervision from Caritas Lebanon, the Entrepreneurship/Business Development Trainer will perform the following functions:
A- Business and Marketing Training:
• Provide 20 sessions/days of training and follow up in Entrepreneurship Training and market skills for women enrolled under self-employment.
• Preparation of pre and post-test assessment to evaluate the acquired knowledge and skills.
• Development of the training curriculum tailored to the needs of the youths and based on the market demand within the Lebanese context and based on the GYB and SYB modules.
• Preparation of the material for the training and related activities.
• Provide business and marketing knowledge for youth to support them in developing their business idea and feasibility study which will be evaluated for grant award at the end of the project. The following knowledge areas are to be addressed:
o Type of business and startup idea o Basic management and finance skills for business operations
o Startup and MSE implementation cycle and phases
o Market research, analysis, and study.
o Marketing skills and marketing plan development
o Project feasibility study and business plan
B- Other tasks and duties:
• Provide support to CL Team on topics related to business development and proposal writing, business management, monitoring of financial growth, marketing and growth strategies, business products and value proposition etc.
• Conduct roundtable discussions with project staff to display results to be rectified and advising on how to mitigate challenges encountered during the coaching sessions.
• Prepare and submit progress reports reflecting performed activities and observations in addition to the final report.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Post graduate degree in International Development, Business Management, Business Economics, Public Administration, or any other relevant fields.
• At least 5 years of proven experience in Entrepreneurship/business and marketing training covering business development, feasibility study, marketing plans and business models.
• Similar project experience in Lebanon, working with youths from the host communities and among refugees.
• Advanced Microsoft office skills with focus on Excel.

• Experience with Business and marketing trainings
• Ability to successfully initiate and maintain positive relationships with communities and NGOs
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively in team environment
• Excellent knowledge of English and Arabic; French is a plus
• Excellent reporting, communication, and negotiation skills
