Field Officer

• Plan, organize, and oversee all Qurbani meat distribution activities in coordination with project manager and procurement teams.
• Coordinate with procurement team to ensure that slaughterhouses timely slaughtering, proper butchering, and safe handling of meat according to hygiene standards.
• Ensure that meat is properly stored, chilled, transported, and distributed to prevent spoilage or contamination at all stages.
• Verify and update beneficiary lists in coordination with field teams and social worker,
• Select and Supervise distribution points to ensure orderly, dignified, and safe distribution, and prevent overcrowding or disputes.
• Track filed expenses from transportation, site rentals…etc ensuring proper documentation.
• Train and brief distribution volunteers or field staff on proper meat handling, beneficiary verification, and distribution protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of meat quantities distributed, beneficiary signatures or thumbprints, and any incidents or challenges encountered.
• Prepare daily and final reports on distribution activities, including quantities distributed, number of beneficiaries reached, and any nonconformities.
• Address complaints or issues raised by beneficiaries or community members in a respectful and timely manner.
• Coordinate with local authorities or community leaders as needed to facilitate smooth distribution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in distribution, logistics, or field coordination, preferably with an NGO or humanitarian organization.
• Experience with Qurbani or food distribution projects
• Available to start immediately and work fulltime during the Qurbani season, including weekends and extended hours as needed.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fastpaced, dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with beneficiaries, community leaders, and team members.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to travel frequently to slaughterhouses, storage facilities, and distribution sites within the target areas.
• Fluency in Arabic and English
