BML Community Mobilizer

The Community Mobilizer will work on the community level, and will be responsible to implement the Child Protection’s unit community-based interventions as per the project activities.
The keys responsibilities:
1. Data Management and Reporting:
• Complete and submit action plans before implementing any activities, ensuring that all necessary preparations are in place for successful execution.
• Maintain and update databases on conducted activities and referral pathways within each intervention location.
• Prepare and submit group, weekly and/or monthly reports outlining activities, challenges, and successes (e.g., MoMs, success stories). This includes but is not limited to minutes of meetings, group reports, attendance sheets, activity tracking sheet, and any other required documentation.

2. Community Engagement and Intervention:
• Implement community-based interventions in collaboration with local stakeholders, focusing on enhancing awareness and protection of vulnerable groups, particularly children and women.
• Provide psychosocial support activities for children, adolescents, and caregivers, utilizing specialized tools such as the Citadel of Protection toolkit, SRHR toolkit, AWSO, life skills training, Power4Girls, and FPSS.
• Organize and implement QUDWA trainings and activities in alignment with community needs and project objectives.
• Address donor requests, including initiatives such as LEGO, Virtual Safe Space, +| involvement in seasonal campaigns / events (e.g. 16 Days, Girl Child, Women’s Day, World Day Against Child Labor) and others, ensuring their integration into the project as needed.
• Collaborate with existing local protection committees and community leaders to strengthen protection networks.

3. Coordination and Networking:
• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with local actors, authorities, and international organizations to ensure effective community-based protection efforts.
• Coordinate with M&E consultants to provide required data and documentation for monitoring activities and progress.
• Liaise with schools, universities, and other organizations to organize external events and awareness sessions.
• Coordinate with other KAFA units/programs when needed.
• Attend weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly coordination and reflection meetings organized by the CP unit

4. Case Management and Referrals:
• Identify and refer cases of abuse or violence using the appropriate referral pathways (Interagency Referral Form/RIMS/PRP), ensuring follow-up support and coordination of services.
• Regularly assess community needs and knowledge gaps, providing targeted interventions and support as required.

5. Strategic Planning and Implementation:
• Conduct needs assessments and qualitative studies to identify priority areas for intervention, particularly in high-risk areas of the BML region.
• Develop and implement work plans (annual, monthly, and weekly) under the guidance of the program and line manager.

6. Operational Support:
• Identify and address logistical and technical challenges encountered during project implementation, reporting these to direct supervisors.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and ethical standards while performing tasks.

7. Flexibility and Additional Tasks:
• Perform other duties as requested by senior management to ensure the success and continuity of the project.

University degree in social work Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Strong oral and written communication skills. Fluency in Arabic and English is a must, and knowledge of French is a plus. Problem-solving skills; Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with challenging social problems and behaviors; Time Management and Organizational skills; High level of flexibility in terms of time and mobility and availability to work for long hours and at night time in case of emergencies; Teamworking skills with an ability to work independently High ethics and commitment to women’s rights; People Oriented; High respect for and ability to work with people from diverse socio-economic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds; Ability to quickly build trust and rapport in interpersonal relationships; Flexible and adaptable.
