1. Clinical Examination of Animals
- Conduct thorough physical examinations of bulls, sheep, goats, or other Qurbani animals.
- Assess for:
- Overt and hidden illnesses (e.g., respiratory infections, fevers, emaciation)
- Physical defects that affect fitness for sacrifice under Shari’ah
- Signs of injury, lameness, or contagious disease
- Identify animals that are unfitfor Qurbani per both veterinary and Islamic standards.
2. Reporting and Documentation
- For each animal or batch, produce a written report that includes:
- Animal ID (tag/description/photo)
- Health status (fit / not fit – with veterinary reasons)
- Shari’ah status (fit / not fit – with specific religious reasoning)
- Date of inspection
- Signature and official stamp
- Provide a summary report to the project manager listing all animals passed, failed, and reasons for failure.
Qualifications and Requirements
Essential
- Valid veterinary license to practice in [Country/Region].
- Proven experience in livestock clinical examination, especially bulls and small ruminants.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Shari’ah law criteria for Qurbani animals.
- Ability to produce clear, structured written reports in English/Arabic.
- Availability during the specified inspection period (2 weeks before Eid).
