About CeSSRA
CeSSRA is an action-oriented, non-profit research center for and about civil society. We are a multidisciplinary space creating synergies and bridging between researchers, experts, civil society and NGO practitioners, and activists. CeSSRA aims to foster social change through innovative uses of social science, digital technologies, and publication and exchange of knowledge.
Main Tasks
The Project Coordinator manages the Daleel Madani programme, ensuring the timely delivery of activities, coordinating with internal teams and external partners. The PC oversees memberships, strengthens engagement with civil society actors and widens the scope of the programme, while ensuring its enhanced sustainability and expansion.
The Project Coordinator’s main tasks include:
- Setting targets and objectives for the programme overall (with the management)
- Overseeing the management and expansion of memberships and the scope of the programme
- Engaging and building sustainable relationships and partnerships with civil society actors in Lebanon, the SWANA, and beyond.
- Providing coordination, effective management, and leadership to activities under the Daleel Madani programme, as well as establishing work plans, setting performance indicators, and identifying challenges and mitigation strategies
- Managing implementation through planning and tracking in line with agreed objectives and timelines
- Providing regular monitoring and evaluation of the programme
- Providing sound team leadership for the team members involved in the programme’s activities
- Ensuring sound grant management, including coordination and submission of donor reports under the supervision of the co-directors and in close collaboration with the administration and finance team, as well as other relevant internal and external counterparts
- Ensuring compliance with internal policies and donor requirements
- Leading on the programme’s resource mobilisation efforts (with external donors as well as income-generating activities)
- Perform other related tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in social sciences, development studies, project management, or a related field
- At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in project coordination, preferably within civil society
- Strong project management skills, including planning, tracking, and reporting
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating multi-stakeholder initiatives and working with diverse partners
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise reports and communications
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Capacity to receive, process, and incorporate feedback
- Solid understanding of the SWANA regional context and civil society landscape
- Fluency in English and Arabic is required; French is an asset
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative and solution-oriented approach
