Projects Coordinator Consultant

Background

Adyan, Foundation for diversity, solidarity and human dignity, works locally, regionally and internationally for pluralism, inclusive citizenship, community resilience, and spiritual solidarity, through homegrown solutions in education, media, policymaking, and intercultural and interreligious relations. Adyan is registered in Lebanon as a non-profit and nongovernmental organization (NGO), under registration number 1103 by a ministerial decree dated 18 September 2008. Adyan also has registered branches in Iraq (Baghdad and Erbil) since 2022 and a sister association in France called Adyan Europe.

Role Purpose

ADYAN Foundation is seeking an innovative and experienced Project Coordinator consultant to Coordinate and implement projects and networks focused on Social Cohesion, Religious social responsibility and interfaith solidarity, within the Community Engagement Department at Adyan Foundation. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in project coordination with a passion for bridge building, fostering societal trust and reducing polarization and hate speech.

Key Responsibilities

• 1. Project Coordination:

o Coordinate the implementation and follow-up of projects related to social cohesion, religious social responsibility, and interfaith understanding and solidarity.

o Support the development of project work plans, timelines, budgets, and required project documents.

o Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation of project activities and timely achievement of project objectives.

o Follow up on day-to-day project activities and provide support to assigned team members when needed.

• 2. Network coordination

o Coordinate Youth and Faith based actors networks.

• 3. Monitoring and Evaluation:

o Support the implementation of Monitoring & Evaluation frameworks before, during, and after project implementation.

o Contribute to the development of new proposals to ensure project sustainability.

o Assist in collecting data to understand the effectiveness and influence of research and learning programs at Adyan.

o Prepare comprehensive reports to donors.

• 4. Support with Communication:

o Collaborate with the communication team to highlight the project’s activities and achievements.

o Contribute to the preparation of communication materials and strategies.

• 5. Representation:

o Maintain good communication and coordination with donors and partners.

o Represent Adyan in relevant meetings and networks when requested.

Qualifications:

• Masters in political sciences, international affairs, social sciences or a related field degree.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management Officer level.
• Experience in projects related to social cohesion
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Fluent in both English and Arabic. French is a plus.
• Detail-oriented, organized, proactive, and solution-oriented, with a strong commitment to inclusion and Human Rights.
