In response to the current national emergency and the resulting large-scale displacement, we are delivering essential food assistance to families and individuals in collective shelters. Our objective is to ensure that every meal provided reflects our commitment to quality, nutrition, and the dignity of those we serve.

 

Emergency Response Overview (Beirut)

In light of the ongoing situation in Lebanon and the significant influx of internally displaced persons into the capital, Beit el Baraka is supporting the emergency response across various shelters in the Beirut area through the provision of daily meals.

 

General Position Summary

We are recruiting 30 Field Enumerators for immediate deployment under a daily worker arrangement. Enumerators will be assigned to collective shelters in Beirut during peak service hours.

This is a field-based, operational role focused on ensuring the timely receipt, monitoring, and distribution of meals. The Field Enumerator will act as the primary focal point at assigned shelters to ensure that breakfast and lunch distributions are conducted efficiently, in line with established standards, and that all required documentation is completed accurately. Any operational issues or concerns must be escalated promptly to the Program team.

Location: Beirut – assigned collective shelters

Modality: Field-based (on-site)

Schedule: Daily presence required during breakfast and lunch service times

Contract Type: Daily worker arrangement

Training: Mandatory technical and safeguarding training prior to deploy

 

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely receipt of meal deliveries according to agreed breakfast and lunch schedules.
  • Verify quantity, quality, and condition of meals upon delivery against delivery records.
  • Oversee and support orderly meal distribution to beneficiaries in shelters.
  • Ensure adherence to agreed operational and service standards during distribution Document and report any delays, shortages, or operational issues in real time to the Senior Project Officer.
  • Collect and record feedback or complaints from beneficiaries related to food quality, quantity, or distribution process.
  • Monitor hygiene and service standards during preparation and distribution activities.
  • Complete daily reporting and documentation accurately and submit to the Senior Project Officer at the end of each shift.

  • Strong communication skills
  • High level of reliability, punctuality, and responsibility
  • Ability to work in crowded, high-pressure field environments
  • Strong observation and reporting skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging conditions
  • Commitment to humanitarian principles and dignity of beneficiaries
  • Previous experience in humanitarian field monitoring, distribution, or work with displaced populations is an asset

The role requires active presence in shelters, engagement with community members, and the ability to identify and report both visible and underlying operational challenges.
