GBV Social Worker - BML

Main Duties and Responsibilities: 

Task 1: Planning and Implementation Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct psycho-social support (PSS) sessions and awareness sessions for beneficiaries at primary health care centers, community centers, and through outreach.
• Prepare and conduct recreational activities for participants.
• Prepare and conduct life skills sessions
• Plan and participate in recreational activities
• Lead on community groups
• Ensure safe identification and referral of beneficiaries to the GBV Case Worker.
• Coordinate with the GBV Case Worker and psychologist to prepare the list of participants interested in vocational training.
• Prepare and submit reports and documentation related to activities in a timely manner.
• Attend and participate in relevant training and meetings in coordination with the Field Coordinator and Project Coordinator.

Task 2: Facilitation and Representation Responsibilities

• Keep track of materials needed for each activity.
• Attend and participate in internal and external meetings, including local and capacity-building events.
• Actively contribute to team coordination and maintain positive working relationships with team members.
• Represent Amel Association as needed.
• Respect and uphold the organization’s internal code of conduct.
• Ensure strict confidentiality of beneficiary data and information.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Program Coordinator.

Requirements, Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, or a relevant field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience is desirable.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to adhere to ethical standards when working with vulnerable populations.
• Team player with active participation in program activities.
