1. About LADE

The Lebanese Association for Democratic Elections (LADE) is a non-profit, non-partisan organization committed to promoting electoral integrity and fair representation as essential pillars of a functional democracy. Since its establishment in 1996, LADE has been at the forefront of electoral reform in Lebanon through a comprehensive approach that includes election monitoring, evidence-based advocacy, and citizen engagement.

LADE’s work spans all stages of the electoral process—pre-election, election-day, and post-election—while addressing issues such as gender inclusion, accessibility, and civic participation. 

 

2. Project Background

LADE is implementing the project “Monitoring Political Narratives and Disinformation During Conflict: Implications for Democratic Life in Lebanon.”

The project aims to analyze the impact of disinformation, sectarian rhetoric, polarizing narratives, and conflict-related political discourse on democratic governance, social cohesion, and public trust in Lebanon. As part of the project, LADE will produce three thematic analytical papers and accompanying communication materials to make key findings accessible to broader audiences.

 

3. Objective of the Assignment

LADE seeks to contract a Graphic Designer to design and format three analytical papers and develop accompanying social media carousel posts summarizing the main findings of each publication.

 

4. Scope of Work

The selected designer will be responsible for:

Design and format three thematic analytical papers (approximately 3,000–4,000 words each), including:

  • Cover page design
  • Interior layout and formatting
  • Typography and visual hierarchy
  • Infographics, charts, pull quotes, and visual elements if needed
  • Integration of LADE and donor branding guidelines
  • Preparation of web-friendly PDF versions
  • Up to two rounds of revisions per publication

Carousel Design

For each analytical paper, develop one carousel post summarizing key findings and recommendations.

Each carousel should:

  • Follow LADE’s visual identity and social media style
  • Translate complex research findings into accessible visual content
  • Include approximately 6 slides per carousel
  • Be optimized for social media publication and promotion

 

5. Expected Deliverables

The consultant shall deliver:

  • Design and layout of three thematic analytical papers
  • Design of three social media carousel posts (one per paper) 
  • Final web-ready PDFs and editable source files for all deliverables

 

6. Duration

The assignment is expected to be completed within one month from the date of contract signature. A detailed delivery schedule will be agreed upon between LADE and the selected consultant.

 

7. Qualifications

The designer should possess:

  • Proven experience in publication and report design
  • Experience designing policy papers, research reports, or advocacy publications
  • Strong infographic and data visualization skills
  • Experience producing social media communication materials
  • Excellent command of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, or equivalent software
  • Experience working with civil society organizations, research institutions, or international donors is an asset
