Short Bio
I’m an experienced interpreter, translator, and revisor with over a decade of experience supporting humanitarian, development, and research-driven organizations across the Middle East, Europe and Canada. I work in Arabic, English, and French.
Over the years, I’ve collaborated with organizations such as UNESCO Doha, Small Arms Survey, Action Against Hunger (ACF), MARCH Lebanon, the Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung, and the Qatar International Academy for Security Studies (QIASS). My work has included simultaneous interpretation, written translation, terminology management, and coordination of language services on topics ranging from human rights and economic policy to security and disarmament.
I also worked as a Broadcast Interpreter and News Editor at Abu Dhabi Media, where I produced and edited news reports on international affairs, economics, and technology.
As a translator, I’ve worked on major texts in behavioral economics and public policy, including my translations of "Misbehaving" by Richard Thaler and "Sludge" by Cass R. Sunstein. I’ve also contributed articles to Raseef22, focusing on the region’s economic dynamics and international affairs.
I hold a BA in Living Languages and Translation and an MA in Conference Interpretation from the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK). I currently live in Ottawa, where I work as an Interpreter and Revisor at Nations Translation Group.
I’m a member of the American Translators Association (ATA), the Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIOL), the International Association of Professional Translators and Interpreters (IAPTI), and the Canadian International Council (CIC). I also serve on the CIOL Interpreting Division Committee, the International Service Committee of the Rotary Club of Ottawa, where I contribute to international development and fundraising initiatives, and the Communications Team at Heritage Ottawa, where I help promote the city’s architectural heritage and community engagement efforts.

Experience with the Civil Society
I’ve been actively involved in civil society initiatives both in Lebanon and abroad. In my hometown in Lebanon, I’ve participated in local development efforts through grassroots organizations focused on youth empowerment, infrastructure improvement, and cultural preservation. I’ve also provided pro bono interpretation and translation services for NGOs working with refugees, asylum seekers, and vulnerable communities, particularly during the height of the Syrian refugee crisis. My civil society work has included partnerships with organizations like MARCH Lebanon, where I supported projects centered on peacebuilding and social cohesion, and with the Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung, contributing to regional programs on social justice, gender equity, and political engagement.
