Short Bio
I am a CPA with over seven years cumulative experience in financial management, donor compliance, and accounting leadership in international NGO sectors. My approach is not purely technical expertise but also one that is driven by personal purpose.
I hold a BBA in Accounting Information Systems and an MBA in Management and Accounting both with First Class Honors. These foundations for education provided me with the determination to take up complex assignments, resulting in my current designation as Finance and Accounting Coordinator of the International Network for Aid Relief and Assistance (INARA). I coordinate and supervise financial activity for multi-country programs . I have led the preparation and reconciliation of financial reports and accounts, managed multi-currency donor budgets, and adhered to institutional donors. I work in close coordination with internal departments and external auditors to make sure that every dollar spent is within donor specifications and organizational goals.
My role extends beyond normal accounting. I offer frequent advice to top management on budgeting, financial risk, and strategic decision-making. I reconcile monthly accounting journals, manage payroll and intercompany accounts, ensure accurate allocations through QuickBooks, and guide field teams to improve their financial reporting capabilities. I am recognized for my analytical mind, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure in high-pressure, high-stakes environments.
I am pursuing a Diploma in International Financial Reporting Standards (DipIFRS) and planning to pursue PMP certification to bridge the gap between financial expertise and broader project leadership. These certifications demonstrate my ongoing dedication to professional growth and to connecting financial planning with operation-driven impact.
What is distinct about my background is the intersection of global standards and local comprehension. I understand the need for timely, compliant financial management, but I am also mindful of the people behind the numbers displaced families, underfunded hospitals, crisis-affected communities.

Experience with the Civil Society
My professional life in civil society has been driven by a deep commitment to human dignity, justice, and the rights of vulnerable groups—particularly refugees and internally displaced persons. I have served in senior accounting and finance roles with international NGOs, most recently as Finance and Accounting Coordinator for the International Network for Aid Relief and Assistance (INARA). In this role, I have led financial management in support of critical medical and psychological care for vulnerable war-injured children, ensuring that donor funds are managed with transparency, accuracy, and compliance with international standards. My services have extended beyond technical accountancy to directly support life-saving services, grant management, and humanitarian coordination across borders. I have also worked with field staff, donors, auditors, and senior management to strengthen financial systems and promote ethical stewardship of resources. As a Palestinian refugee myself, my work with civil society is not only professional, it is personal. I have a deep compassion and unwavering dedication to serve displaced, traumatized, and excluded communities, and I see every financial statement, compliance activity, and audit as a brick in the greater mission of rebuilding hope and upholding human rights.
