Short Bio
With over 25 years of experience in microfinance and capacity building, Lina Hammouda specializes in micro and SME lending, operations, customer care, needs assessment and product development. She is a certified trainer by Sanabel. In April 2024, Lina founded Mahara Consultancy, an independent consultancy firm that provides tailored advisory services to empower individuals especially Women and Youth, micro-entrepreneurs, and SMEs, MFIs in Lebanon and beyond. Under her leadership, Mahara fosters long-term strategic partnerships with MFIs, corporates, NGOs, international organizations, donors, investors, and other stakeholders to promote sustainable growth and social impact. Lina holds a bachelor’s degree in clinical psychology and is a certified expert in SME finance by Frankfurt school since 2014.
Experience with the Civil Society
I had the privilege of working on a project with the Lebanese Association for the Handicapped, where I trained mothers of children with disabilities on effective methods to support and educate their children with special needs.
