The Local Economic Development Agency is -a non-profit, non governmental agency established in March 2011 under the United Nations Development – Art Gold Program- an innovative model of partnership between public and private sectors/stakeholders
that acts to institutionalize the means for reducing poverty and regional disparities and develop strategic interventions and plans that will lead to the enhancement of the economic sectors in the Bekaa region.
The agency in the Bekaa region aims for valorizing  the Bekaa endogenous resources, Improving the human and relational capital and supporting the development of strategic development planning while respecting its values
