According to the UNHCR, more than 569,000 Syrian refugees are now receiving protection and assistance from the Lebanese government, the UN and NGO’s. This Regional Analysis of the Syria Conflict (RAS) is an update of the April RAS. The RAS seeks to bring together information from all sources in the region and provide a coherent analysis of the overall situation in the region as well as in each of the affected countries. While Part I focuses on the situation within Syria, Part II covers the impact of the crisis on the neighbouring countries. Palestinian refugees from Syria living in Lebanon are one of the most vulnerable sub-populations affected by the crisis. In April 2013, ANERA conducted a survey of these families to gain a clear picture of the situation on the ground and to assess the critical needs that exist.
