UNDP Strengthening Civil Peace in Lebanon Project has been supporting the process of the establishment of a national civil society platform on civil peace since 2011, consisting of 10 national organizations,taking into account past experiences and emerging lessons learnt.
The Strategic Planning is based on the findings of fieldwork carried out in several villages in Dinnieh, which aimed at identifying the major characteristics of the region in different fields.
UNDP, through the CEDRO project, and the Ministry of Energy & Water published the first version of the "National Wind Atlas of Lebanon" which will create a growing momentum in Lebanon towards strengthening and developing the renewable energy sector in the country.
The proposal is to build a network from existing institutions and bodies already present on the ground with SAMIDOUN, and to build social centers working on various identified issues.
