About the Zero Project: For a World without Barriers The Zero Project was initiated by the Essl Foundation in 2010. It has been run in partnership with the World Future Council (WFC) since 2011 and the European Foundation Centre (EFC) since 2013. The Mid-way Transition House (Al Dar) is a free, safe, supportive temporary house for women at risk or survivors of Gender Based Violence (GBV), both single women and teen adolescent girls, and women with their children. In this confidential safe environment, women can gather information and explore options with the assistance of trained, professional staff.
