With the Syrian crisis in its fourth year, tensions between Lebanese host communities and refugees are high.

This report is submitted by: the A project (1), the Center for Reproductive Rights (2), and the Sexual Rights Initiative (3).

The present report analyses the impact of the Syrian conflict and refugee crisis on Lebanon and Lebanese host communities. This brief analysis presents the main conflict issues and trends, and the network of interaction between local and national level conflict dynamics.

Lebanon does not have a civil code regulating personal status matters.

Walking, it has been said, is the ultimate form of sustainable public transportation. Beirut, however, is one of the most pedestrian unfriendly cities in the world. Many streets do not even have sidewalks, and where they exist, they are often broken, or obstructed, or hazardous when wet.
