Call For Agency Consultant/event Planner

PROJECT SUMMARY: FURSA Within the framework of Search for Common Ground (Search) response to the needs of Syrian refugees and their host communities in Lebanon, Fursa is a project which aims to ensure a coherent approach to the Syrian crisis by empowering refugee and host population youth with opportunities to implement community initiatives. Search has been implementing Fursa in Lebanon with a focus on 10 communities in Akkar and West Bekaa. Search’s sectors of activities include a media incubator, relation-building activities, art for peace workshops, and the design and implementation of community projects monitored through community consultations by trained youth. After 9 months, participants will be showcasing their journey through a series of final events in Akkar, West Bekaa and Beirut where the youth will meet again to celebrate their successful journeys and new friendships and present their work to the wider community. JOB DESCRIPTION Search is looking for agency consultant/ event planner who can organize a two-day event in Beirut to showcase the work of the youth in the different domains and expand the outreach of the project. The final event is foreseen to take place in mid-December. The target community would include representatives of donor agencies, international and local NGOs, UN agencies, government officials, universities, artists, international and local media, social media influencers, etc… Main tasks: The Consultant is expected to execute the following tasks in coordination with Search project team: 1- Develop and establish the event goals and objectives 1- Select date for the event taking into consideration other events taking place in that period; 2- Identify the venue 3- Develop a plan for the event 4- Create and launch publicity plan & branding of the event including invitations, media coverage and interviews Experience required: ▪ Experience in organizing events for International Organizations, , exhibitions and large-scale events is a must Deadline for applications: 29 October 2017 Submission guidelines: Interested candidates must submit: 1- An updated CV and portfolio (in English) with at least 2 professional references and their full contacts (name, organization/company, position, telephone number, email address); 2- A letter of interest (in English). 3- Quotation All documents must be sent by e-mail to labikhalil@sfcg.org with the subject “FURSA Final Event Planner”;
