FAO Lebanon will move to new premises located in Hazmieh/Mar Takla (3 floors of around 400 m2 each, plus underground parking space). The consultant/interior designer will serve as technical adviser to FAO in view to assess the current premises, to prepare the detailed layout (phase 1), and to supervise the works (phase 2). He/she will:
Review the plans and propose layouts incl. plans as per FAO’s requirements and needs in terms of space allocation to staff: internal partitions, lighting, power, meeting rooms, IT, network and server room; security issues (access control at main entrance and at each floor) and implementation of security standards as per UNDSS - MOSS,
Assess existing utilities (Air Conditioning, heating, plumbing and sanitary, …) and propose renovation works and/or upgrade based on FAO’s needs and standards, Prepare an estimated budget costing of the above works (estimated unit rates and quantities); prepare the bills of quantities for contractors to submit their offers; participate in the technical assessment of the offers (FAO tender), Follow-up and monitor the services and works with the selected contractors, until satisfactory termination of works within agreed delivery time.
Duration of the assignment: an estimated volume of 25-30 days within a period of 5 months, divided into two phases, the first phase of two months (survey and design/layout incl. bills of quantities) and the second phase of three months (supervision and certification of works upon completion).
