Call For Applications: “Resilient Communities: Supporting Livelihoods, Education And Social Stability” Referred To As “Forsa”

Project Summary: Within the framework of Search for Common Ground (SFCG) response to the needs of Syrian refugees and their host communities in Lebanon, this project’s objective is to ensure a coherent approach to the Syrian crisis by empowering refugee and host population youth with livelihood and education opportunities in parallel with social stability and psychosocial support initiatives. Thus, SFCG is looking for local partners in Akkar and West Bekaa to help in the implementation of the project. Partner Responsibilities: Partnership with the local organizations in Akkar and West Bekaa will be based on a sub-grant agreement for 12 months in which the partner organization will have the responsibility to: 1- Mobilize a total of 150 youth participants in 5 targeted communities (50% Lebanese, 50% Syrians) 2- Recruit a field officer responsible for the direct implementation of the action 3-Allocate space for the organization of 60 workshops in total in addition to 3 open days and 3 reunion days during the period of the project and one final event 4- Open the centres on weekends if needed 5- Identify venues for the two 7 days camp each hosting 75 youth 6- Secure the venues for 25 roundtable discussions before, during and after the implementation of community projects 7-Identify and engage with local stakeholders 8-Liaise with local authorities in order to get their buy-in for the project 9-Keep a link with security officers in the areas of implementation in order to monitor the situation 10-Ensure timely implementation of the activities by coordinating with management staff and other partners working at the centre. For this purpose, SFCG is opening a call for applications from local organizations based in Akkar and West Bekaa.
