Operations Internship

Background: BA/S or equivalent in social work, social sciences, human rights, or other relevant field preferred; Experience in community engagement preferred; Strong understanding of refugee issues in the current Lebanon context; Excellent knowledge of local context in the Beqaa; Written and oral communication skills in English preferred; Positive, respectful attitude and collaborative approach to problem-solving; Demonstrated attention to detail; ability to follow procedures, meet deadlines and work independently as well as cooperatively with team members; Purpose / Project Description: The intern will assist in the implementation the Mercy Corps programs mainly in the operations department in the office. This department aims to support all programs in the Bekaa through procurement, administration, and logistics.   Learning Objectives: Support with data collection, entry, analysis, quality assurance, sharing of information and learning, etc.;  Support in coordination with projects and third parties; Support in documentation and archiving; Support in follow-ups with suppliers and vendors. Timeframe / Schedule:  2 months: from 01 November 2017 until 31 December 2017-with flexible attendance The Intern will have the exposure to meet with the different departments during the training period
