Education In Emergencies Project Coordinator

Main Responsibilities: 1- Project Development phase: a)    Shape up main research, needs assessment and basic project plan with possible partner list into a solid project plan with a clear budget to be approved by the management team for implementation b)    Connect and discuss with potential partners interests, ways and details of collaboration, elaborate MoU’s timelines and prepare all documentation needed to kick off the project c)     Collaborate with Emergency Response HR Coordinator to assess staff needs, write job descriptions and recruit the needed team. 2- Project Implementation phase: a)    Management and coordination of project activities, b)    Install Task force CCC (content, curriculum, cooperation), consisting of key personal of SOS, partners, and external consultants as needed, c)     Ensure the implementation of the educational, psychosocial, vocational etc. activities. d)    Identify ICT specs for considered education programs, ensure implementation and functionality of all technical education tools (Hardware, ICT) e)    Promote participatory approaches in the program, particular community and children’s participation f)      Provide insights on adaptations and improvements that can be easily implemented to the program. g)    conducting baseline studies and need assessments h)    set-up criteria for the selection of beneficiaries i)      Identification of locations & partners (in Bekaa valley) for further project activities. Identification of volunteers if needed j)      networking and communication with stakeholders and beneficiaries both at a local level, towards SOS Lebanon National Level and ultimately SOS International Office Region MENA k)     the identification of training needs for each of the selected education programs, l)      the organization and implementation of capacity building programs for staff, trainees, volunteers, in collaboration with partnerships 3- Monitoring, reporting and evaluation a)    prepare, update and implement project work plans and review progress on a monthly basis with input from partners and all members of team b)    overseeing efficient implementation of the program and update the National ERP coordination c)     draft international deployment procedures, highlight transferable/replicable learnings, programs, experiences, needs,.. d)    ensure compliance with SOS policies and procedures, including the clear and consistent application of child safeguarding and code of conduct policies Qualifications: Technical and working experience in the field of education, social work, psycho-social programs, vocational training, (3 years) Strong knowledge of minimum standards (Sphere and others) related to child protection and other project-related sectors of intervention; Good network to local and international stakeholders like ministries, local associations, schools, (I)NGOs, CBOs, relevant specially to the field of education etc. Experience in the usage of technology in the field of communication and education is highly desirable Driving license, own car is mandatory Excellent organizational and management skills Team leading experience (3 years) Language skills, Arabic (excellent), English (Excellent), French is a plus
