Health Information Officer

Main Role The Health Information Officer ensures that consistent data is collected and interpreted for all Medico-Social Department activities and that the information is accurate, consistent and timely.   Operational Roles and Responsibilities 1-     Collect and compile  health data from MMU and Community Health volunteers in a timely manner. 2-     Perform data entry, archiving and data backup to ensure accurate and updated Health Database management. 3-     Organize and manage and analyze the collected data to submit monthly, quarterly and annually reports. 4-     Extract and produce statistical and graphical reports based on the Health Information system outputs. 5-     Train MMU and Health Center Staff on data collection process, assessment and reporting of activities for both MMU and community health programs. 6-     Provide continuing on-the-job training in Health Data management and coaching to Community Health Program volunteers and MMU volunteers. 7-     Research and advise technical solutions to constantly improve the health information system of the department. 8-     Ensure the integration of the Health Information System of the MS Department with LRC information management system to contribute to the yearly planning and subsequently annual reporting of LRC. 9-     Produce monthly statistical reports and quarterly narrative reports on the progress of the implementation of activities and share it with LRC Departments and Partners. 10-  Establish working contacts with Health Information System managers from Ministry of Health and International Organizations assisting vulnerable communities in Lebanon. 11-  Monitor health data collecting process in Community Health Program and MMUs (related to health center of MMU activities and diseases profile, medication, medicines consumption, community health activities and beneficiaries) 12-  Report in time to MS Deputy/Director and Community Health Program Coordinators all deviations and challenges in Health data collecting, processing and reporting. 13-  Attend training in Health Information System development upon request from MS Department Director and with support from Partners.
