Trainer Expert In Waste Management

1.                  BACKGROUND  T.E.R.R.E.Liban, as an Intermediate Support Organization (ISO) on the Environment and Solid Waste Management Issue Network “LANE” (Lebanese Advocacy Network For Environment), under the Civic Engagement Initiative - CEI component of Building Alliances for Local Advancement, Development and Investment Capacity Building – BALADI CAP Project through a sub award issued by Counterpart International, Inc. as a part of the USAID-funded BALADI Program, is coordinating, supporting and promoting “issue networks” of CSOs, around the following advocacy area : Environmental Protection and Solid Waste Management. T.E.R.R.E.Liban wishes to undertake the consultancy services for a Professional Trainer expert in Environmental Lebanese Laws. .  2.                  PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT   T.E.R.R.E.Liban is seeking the services of an experienced Consultant Expert in Waste Management under CEI Component – Baladi Cap project to perform a half day training session on Waste Management to the CSOs members of LANE and their partners.      3.                  SCOPE OF WORK   The consultant must provide the following tasks: Prepare power point presentation for the capacity building on Waste Management : Solid Waste Management Planning History in Lebanon Sources, Composition, and Properties of Solid Waste Physical, Chemical and Biological Properties of MSW Sources, Types and Properties of Household Hazardous Wastes Collection of Solid Waste Waste Handling and Separation, Storage and Processing at the Source Transfer and Transport Treatment of Solid Wastes and Residual Matter Landfill of Solid Wastes and Residual Matter Case Studies from different countries Submit the session’s content and materials to project coordinator for approval including pre and post-tests.  Conduct the Capacity building session. Draft a report including recommendations to be submitted to the project coordinator after the training session.     4.                  TECHNICAL DELIVERABLES  Power Point Presentation Pre & Post Tests Report  5.                  WORK DURATION  The training will be held on October 13, 2017 thus the work duration shall not exceed one and a half day including materials preparation, training and reporting tasks.
