Student Counselor (National And International Position)

Terre des Hommes Italia (TDH IT) is recruiting a Student Counselor to support in the implementation of DAFI Scholarship Programme in partnership with UNHCR, a project to promote access to Higher Education for Refugees in Lebanon. Duties and Responsibilities: Assist DAFI alumni by providing case-by-case follow up; Being able to provide professional counselling sessions for the students in need of specific support; Identify, refer and follow up on students in need of specific services; Motivate students in need of specific support; Plan and implement Orientation activities for newly accepted students in coordination with TDH IT team; Support TDH IT Project Staff in assuring a proper and effective communication with the alumni in all Lebanon; Support in the collection of the relevant data required for project monitoring and reporting activities; Qualifications and experience: Bachelor degree, and preferably post-graduate university degree in psychology, education, sociology, social work or alike; Willingness and capacity to be flexible and accommodating when faced with difficult and frustrating working conditions; At least 1 year experience in the field of social work, Local or International NGO, teaching, tutoring, counselling. Experience of developing a team and ability to motivate students; Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills; Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English; Valid driving license and availability to drive
