Financial Assistant

The Assistant will be responsible of the Accountant support for the day to day financial administration. This will involve providing support with various tasks including Payroll, Quick Books, and the preparation of all supplier payments and staff expenses. On-the-job training will be provided as part of the induction to get familiarized with relevant systems. The Assistant has to perform the following exemplary tasks: Assist in the preparation of receipts and vouchers and their relevant formats, so that the financial details can be entered correctly in the accounting system. Apply the basic accounting principles, knowledge, and techniques to analyze the variances, assist in production of journals, and perform routine accounting activities. Ensure the compliance with FNF and third party donors’ rules. Ensure solid procurement procedures and routines in compliance with to FNF administrative guidelines and procurement policy. Ensure proper functioning of an archiving and documentation system Provide assistance to the project management team during preparation, implementation and follow up of conferences, seminars, workshops, publications and other activities. We expect candidates to have relevant accounting qualification(s), or the ability to demonstrate appropriate skills and knowledge, numeracy skills & attention to detail, experience of maintaining spreadsheets and a good knowledge of the MS Office suite (particularly Word and Excel). Candidates have to be fluent in English and Arabic.
