Outreach Officer - Daily Worker

Assignment The Outreach Officer will work under the supervision of the Program Manager/s to influence and change attitudes and social behaviours on a large scale, to improve the health and environment of the community. With a strong understanding of the needs of the community and creativity, the Outreach Officer will provide strategic support to the Program Manager of the best methods of engaging the community to improve the acceptance of the project and thus the sustainability of the action.  The Outreach Officer will conduct awareness sessions at household and community levels. Functions The Outreach Officer will be responsible for coordinating with the community to support behavioural change in the designated area of intervention and ensure timely implementation of project as per program guidelines. The Outreach Officer will directly undertake the following tasks to ensure smooth operations and quality of interventions; Constantly adapts strategies based on feedback from the community Facilitate community consultations, with local residents and local authorities Maintain proper records and provide daily and weekly report to Program Manager; Conducts and designs community meetings and forums, 1 on 1 sessions, FGDs Manages relationships with CSOs, schools to work together on project Monitor the feedback from the community throughout the project implementation and ensures feedback to PM Manages ACTED visibility in the field Skills required -          Bachelor’s degree is highly recommended -          Experience in outreach or community work -          Strong communication skills -          English and Arabic language skills
