High Risk Animator (Animator-Tdh It-Nb-010)

Major Responsibilities: To design focused PSS and CP activities targeting children with high risk level of vulnerability. To develop a detailed monthly activity plan, indicating specifically the aim and the objectives of the activities to closely monitor results achieved with the beneficiaries with high risk level of vulnerability. To be in charge of developing, delivering and monitoring focussed animation activities. To carry out focussed PSS activities using specific methodologies to support the beneficiaries with high risk vulnerability resilience and needs. To keep the balance between social, mental and physical activities for children and adolescents. To plan the activity in order to ensure progressive steps from easier to more difficult activities. To ensure that the beneficiaries have the possibility to participate in designing the activity, to express themselves and to be heard. To ensure that the beneficiaries are all involved in the activity and that there is possibility for boys and girls to work both together and in gender based groups. In dealing with difficult behaviours (conflict, aggressiveness, introversion), to understand the reason behind the behaviour and to try as much as possible to involve the others participants as a resource to solve the problem. To monitor the beneficiaries participation to the activities. To monitor child progresses, identify children in need and refer special cases to the social workers and the psychologists as soon as identified. Coordinate with social workers to link with the parents and the community. To participate in the preparation, execution and organization of Awareness sessions for the beneficiaries of all age group. To report in case of any kind of abuse to the social worker and Child protection officer. To plan and request the material needed for the activities. To be responsible for the proper use and basic maintenance of the animation material and Community Centre facility. To participate in the trainings provided by TdH or other partner Organization. To participate in the meetings whenever necessary. To work in a close collaboration with the team in the drafting, implementation and follow-up of the activities. To comply with the TDH-It Code of Conduct. Any other task relevant to the position.                                                      Key Working Relationships:   Position Reports to:  PSS coordinator- CP Officer Technical reference/Indirect Reporting:  Child protection Expert – Project Manager Collaborates with: CM team and community empowerment officer Other Internal and/or external contacts: volunteers, Case workers Internal: other members of TDH IT programs in the field   External: local partner –Other NGOs/INGOs   Qualifications and experience Ability to work well in a team, under pressure and in response to changing needs. Experience in and knowledge of the Syrian situation and response is considered a strong asset. Experience in building capacity of teams and staff. Commitment to the aims, principles and values of TDH IT. Ability to plan well, set own targets and meet them. Valid Driving license is a plus
