Hospital Project Manager

Job Purpose: The Hospital Project Manager in RHUH is the focal point for all technical matters related to the hospital and is the leader of the health part of the hospital management team. S/he liaises with the Senior Project Manager and the Engineering Project Manager to follow up on the overall project in a transversal way. S/he is responsible for program policies and their coherence and efficiency. S/he elaborates plans of action with the hospital team, and Deputy Health Coordinator (DHCo) mobilises resources, monitors and reports on the achievement of the objectives and project document and the related plans of action and provides technical support to the health staff. S/he follows up on the Project document objectives and monitoring frame. S/he represents the ICRC in relation to authorities and organisations relevant to the hospital project. S/he follows up on the quality of care together with the Hospital Head Nurse and the Senior Medical Officer and make sure institutional/country medical and nursing guidelines are implemented.   Your profile: Registered nurse with strong management training – MBA is a plus Experienced in project management and/or management at hospital level Leadership, strong team and staff management skills, capacity to supervise complex health programs, strong analytical skills Strong communication and negotiation skills, strategic and creative thinking, flexibility and open management style Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds Fluent knowledge of English – French is an asset 6 to 7 years of similar experience Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office     Function description: Responsible for the implementation of program activities and guidelines and their coherence and efficiency. Elaborates plans of action with the hospital team, the Deputy Health Coordinator and the RHUH Senior project manager and Wathab Project Manager. Has the overall responsibility for HR management and disciplinary procedures involving all health staff working in the hospital in accordance with ICRC policy in close coordination with the Senior Project Manager. Develops and maintains regular contact with the RHUH administration and management team and updates them on progress made and problems encountered based on the 5 years monitoring frame. Has a clear understanding of the overall Hospital system in Lebanon and participates to meetings at the Ministry of Public Health if needed Participates in financial management in collaboration with his/her assistant and with the Administrative department in the Delegation Organises and leads regular meetings with the ICRC RHUH staff and/or their representatives. Organises briefings and debriefings of expatriate medical staff, ICRC delegates, and visitors. Maintains all reporting systems on hospital activities and objectives achievements i.e. bi-weekly contribution to the WOR, monthly, quarterly, yearly and ad hoc reports as well as Black Boxes. Participates to Health quarterly reviews in the Delegation. Contributes to strengthening the referral system in close collaboration with the ICRC Sub-Delegations and ICRC health team in the Delegation.
