Quality Manager (For Blood Transfusion Services)

Main Role Contribute to set up and manage the quality management system for the LRC’s Blood Transfusion Services according to local and international standards and regulations.   Operational Roles and Responsibilities   Work autonomously and take initiatives to improve quality management in BTS in compliance with National standards and regulations for blood transfusion services and Provide guidance and direction to the BTS staff concerning all quality related issues Conduct yearly appraisals of BTS technicians and assess training needs Develop or contribute to the development of remedial training for BTS technicians Respond to the questions and queries of BTS technicians Contribute to implementation of global and sustainable quality policy in the LRC BTS Organize and participate in process updates, in compliance with national updates Plan and organize internal audits and perform an unannounced audit Report non-conformities, through the LRC declaration system Assure management of non-conformities, client complaints with appropriate Preventive and corrective actions Assure documentation control Assure implementation of risk analysis and risk management processes Assure and participate in training of personnel related to quality tools and continuous quality improvement Organize and participate in meetings with BTS Director and technicians as needed Analyze problems and situation, and demonstrate good problem solving Have ability to gather appropriate info and demonstrate good decision making by demonstrating knowledge of the ethical standards of practice Submit weekly, monthly and annually reports to the BTS Director
