 Functions / Key Results Expected Manage the day- to– day maintenance of the assigned vehicle to ensure road worthiness, is well maintained and properly used through timely changes of oil, checks lights, indicators, brakes, tyre pressure, oil, battery, radiator, car washing, fan belt etc. Arrange for minor repairs and ensure that the vehicle is kept clean Make sure that the vehicle always has enough fuel before departure for field trips Ensure that the vehicle undergoes regular service intervals Ensure that HFHL vehicle(s) is used only for official/authorized business, as advised by the supervisor Find the most direct routing over the best available roads to the destination. Make sure that the daily log sheet for the vehicle is prepared and maintain record of all running expenses related to car operation and maintenance including gas consumption, oil changes, brakes, etc Maintain vehicle Equipment/Inventory (GPRS, fire extinguisher, First Aid Kit...) Maintain a Non Smoking policy in vehicles at all times. Make sure that all legal papers related to the car (Insurance, Mecanique) are up to date and paid on time. Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and discreteness in discussions which involve HFHL members. Ensure that the steps required by the local rules and regulations (pertaining to driving) are taken in case of accident. Pay the traffic violation if he/she exceeds the speed limit or breaks any other traffic law. Accepts responsibility for damage caused by gross negligence, and may be required to pay for such damage. Take proper measurements to reduce potential security threats to HFHL members and visitors along transport routes. Maintain decent appearance daily. Respect the values and principles of the people he/she encounters or drive and displays good road manners. Assisting passengers in and out of the vehicle and assist in lifting luggage and devices as needed. Picking/Dropping and welcoming visitors/staff to/at the airport when needed. Receives all visitors in a friendly, polite and professional manner. Refers them to the appropriate person or office. Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor Any change in the car, needs a written approval from the supervisor. To process local purchases following HFHL procedures. Do not carry passengers who do not belong to the organization unless a disclaimer has been signed, in agreement with the line manager Do not carry passengers carrying arms or wearing military uniform Park the vehicle in a suitable place, ‘ready to leave’ Competencies and Skills Highly approachable, trustworthy and confidential Able to communicate effectively with supervisors, staff and visitors Ability to function well as part of a team Diligent attention to detail and safety.  Availability and willingness to work outside regular office hours and non-working days when needed Willingness and ability to continue to function during a crisis situation, including during a HFHL response to a manmade or natural disaster Proven interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity  Excellent knowledge and abiding by driving rules and regulations. Excellent knowledge of roads and major landmarks. Basic knowledge in security issues. Basic knowledge in mechanical skills. Ability to use office machines. Good Arabic language and basic English.
