The Programs Associate is responsible for managing specific projects under the Programs department,.
The main duties include the following:
Participate in project development and planning
Develop projects budgets and work plans
Identify program research needs
Develop project documents, proposals, background papers, and briefs
Follow up on projects implementation, monitoring and evaluation
Report on program and projects progress
Liaise or coordinate with partners and experts for projects implementation
Build new partnerships & maintain existing partnership with local, regional, international organisation & else,
Contribute to projects related human and financial resource mobilization
Expected Outputs and Deliverables:
Develop detailed project documents, proposals and work plans within the designated timeframe and resources allocated to projects
Provide regular updates on project status and progress on work plans Identify research material and best practices
Coordinate and Follow up on projects implementation
Assist in the organization and coordination of events (i.e. workshops, trainings, conferences...)
Liaise with the partners, consultants and trainers on regular basis
Address arising challenges and identify alternative plans of action
Development & tracking of project budgets
Participate in the budget allocation for the department
Assist in resource mobilization/ fundraising for the projects
Generate progress reports for the projects
Ensure that projects are completed within the budget and timeframe
Identify and develop strong partnerships with counterparts
Identify best practices/programs in drug prevention for the category assigned to (Youth & Children/Parents & Educators)
Interact continuously with project members and ensure that their objectives and tasks are clear and well incorporated
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields: social science, business, political science, international relations, or any other related field.
Master’s degree is a plus in any of the above areas 3 to 5 years of related experience
Prior experience in a non-profit organization (i.e. national, regional, international field) with focus on youth or children or drug prevention, or development at large
Prior experience in project management and implementation
Budgeting Experience in drug prevention is favourable
