Balsam – Lebanese Center for Palliative Care Administrative Assistant: Job Description and Qualifications The Lebanese Center for Palliative Care – Balsam is a non-governmental organization that aims to relieve the suffering and improve the quality of life of people with life threatening or life limiting illness through patient care, advocacy, capacity building and research. Balsam is seeking a full time dedicated and capable Administrative Assistant to perform a variety of administrative, operational and procedural tasks. Applicants to this position are expected to be energetic, conscientious and detail oriented. Good communications skills and the ability to work well with a team are a must.   Job Description / Responsibilities: Provide general administrative and clerical support including mailing, scanning, faxing and copying Maintain electronic and hard copy filing system Perform data entry and data management Assist in resolving any administrative problems Answer phones promptly and use good judgment to prioritize the distribution of messages in a timely manner Prepare and modify documents including correspondence, reports, memos and emails Manage inventory of all office supplies and place orders for replenishment as needed Performs all other related duties as assigned Requirements / Qualifications Candidates for this role is expected to possess the following experience and qualifications: Bachelor Degree or equivalent Fluency in Arabic and English Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Email and Internet Experience in administrative support is a plus. Personal Qualities In all aspects of this role the following personal qualities are essential: Excellent planning, time management and organizational abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills reflecting an ability to write, speak and interact clearly and professionally Ability to work effectively as part of a small close-knit team. Detail oriented with good analytical skills Can handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality Ability to manage multiple tasks and achieve deadlines under pressure Ability to maintain professionalism and a positive service attitude at all times Adaptable and flexible to changing circumstances and needs of the role, including flexibility in working hours to ensure coordination with different stakeholders Lines of reporting: The Administrative Assistant reports to the Operations Coordinator. He/she will work closely with the nurses and the medical team. Post Details and Benefits Recruits will be registered in the NSSF and will benefit from 15 paid vacation days per year Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Salary will depend on skills and experience.
