Outreach Officer

Work Context: Sonbola is a startup grassroots NGO that focuses on delivering educational programs, specifically to fill the gaps of Syria’s education crisis and address the education of Syrian refugee children and youth, with a special focus on quality and sustainability.   Major Responsibilities: Draft an Outreach procedure Mapping of the refugees in Mount Lebanon Conduct assessment, survey or outreach activities as required Data collection and documentation Refer refugees to the existing organizations as required Participate in the field work and respond to beneficiaries’ queries with good knowledge of relevant information Coordinate with other organizations: NGOs, UN agencies, municipalities, etc. working on the field Support in the administrative work when required Report daily, weekly, and monthly on outreach activities and results to the Regional Program Assistant/Manager Fill in the monitoring templates provided for the best project implementation and the monitoring of the activities’ results Perform any other task as assigned by the Regional Program Manager   Required Personal Qualifications: Strong capacity in collecting and sharing information, and keeping always relevant people informed Experience in community mobilization Ability to work under pressure Team spirit and flexibility Strong communication and interpersonal skills Strong organization skills and attention to details Maintain professional integrity in the outreach activities Fluent in written and spoken Arabic  and English (Preferred) Ability to write briefs and reports.
