Security Advisor

The Security Advisor based in Lebanon is responsible for working closely with the program team to support their security needs, capacity development related to security, as well as analyze contextual changes to the security situation in the areas of operation.  The Program Director will consult on a daily basis with the Security Advisor, who will be responsible for staying up-to-date on the security situation, following any warnings or alerts put out by national or international agencies, ensuring adequate protection supplies are in procured and properly utilized by partners. Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Security Advisor will lead the efforts to understand and analyze the security situation through regular follow up on media sources as well as through the right coordination channels. The Security Advisor will put systems in place, provide understanding of trends, have the ability to predict new outcomes and advise implementation teams in order to ensure that RI remains flexible to changes on the ground in relation to the ever-changing security situation.
