Case Worker X 3 Positions

Job description including qualifications and competencies: TDH IT is looking for 3 case workers in order to cover the needs of Syrian Refugee and vulnerable Lebanese children in Mount Lebanon (Jbeil and Kasarwein district).   Introduction: The Child Protection (CP) intervention of Terre des Hommes Italy (TDH IT) “Strengthening Protection for Syrian refugees and vulnerable Lebanese girls and boys and their caregivers through quality prevention and response services” in Mount Lebanon intends to: Strengthen the capacity of three MOSA Social Development Centers (SDCs) and a Local CBO to deliver emergency assistance, including child protection and family support services; Support the resilience and wellbeing of Syrian refugees and vulnerable Lebanese girls and boys and caregivers through community based PSS and outreach activities; Provide focused psychosocial support (PSS) interventions and Case Management for children or survivors of abuse, violence and/or exploitation; Empower communities to identify CP priorities, resources, needs, and solutions in order to promote community participation and engagement.   Major Responsibilities: Identify individual cases in collaboration with CP Mount Lebanon team and through regular presence in the community Accept referrals from other agencies and community partners Provide individual case management for children and their families in accordance with all case management steps and related tools and procedures and the National SOP Ensure the correct documentation and compilation of CM forms in accordance with all case management steps and related tools and procedures and the National SOP Update regularly the database to ensure a comprehensive record of the database Ensure that all cases are addressed immediately and shared with the supervisor  Work closely with the other organization in order to ensure smooth referral Participate actively in weekly case management team meetings Provide ongoing support to families, foster and alternative care systems Communicate regularly with supervisor, Project Manager and CM Specialist for updates on achievements and challenges Collaborate closely with the other members of the CM team and the CP team Directly communicate with other caseworkers and service providers as part of conducting individual case management Regularly attend case management meetings at field level Consistently and proactively monitor/assess the safety and security of field teams; promptly reporting concerns or incidents to management and  liaising with community leaders and other external parties as required to maintain/enhance the security environment for programs To comply with the TDH IT Code of Conduct   Qualification and Experience:  A university degree in social and behavioral sciences, preferable Social Work or Psychology At least 1 year of experience in Case Management. Proven experience in Child Protection. Ability to work well in a team, under pressure and in response to changing needs. Experience in and knowledge of the Syrian situation and response is considered a strong asset. High-level of communication skills. Fluency in English and Arabic. Commitment to the aims, principles and values of TDH IT.
