Organization Overview International Medical Corps (IMC) is a global, humanitarian, nonprofit organization dedicated to saving lives and relieving suffering through health care training and relief and development programs. Established in 1984 by volunteer doctors and nurses, International Medical Corps is a private, voluntary, nonpolitical, nonsectarian organization. Its mission is to improve the quality of life through health interventions and related activities that build local capacity in underserved communities worldwide. By offering training and health care to local populations and medical assistance to people at highest risk, and with the flexibility to respond rapidly to emergency situations, International Medical Corps rehabilitates devastated health care systems and helps bring them back to self-reliance. Geographical Focus  The geographical focus of the assessment will cover the following cities and their surroundings: Tripoli, Saida, Chiyah, Zahle.  Job Summary   The consultant will provide a mapping of the needs and opportunities of employment for young adults after assessing the local market. The assessment will identify the needs and opportunities in terms of employment training, capacity building, and on the job business coaching and follow up. The assessment will also facilitate access to information on markets and entry points, matchmaking and networking to beneficiaries, suppliers and clients.   Tasks & Responsibilities The consultant will be responsible of: Primary data collection Analyze local markets, including current goods, services and employment in demand in the local market; Identify livelihood opportunities, including potential employment and self-employment opportunities for refugees and vulnerable community members; Gather multiple job opportunities (10+) from the same field of work     Desk review of secondary data about skills required by the private sector: Analyze all terms of refusal from businesses that didn’t accept to be part of the assessment  Deliverables: Schedule of activities in the four areas Mapping of the business service providers with their characteristics in the targeted areas, detailing: Area of expertise and sector of work Contact information of all the business providers that accepted employing beneficiaries Recommendations of interviewed employers on staffing needs (number of vacancies, timeframe of the employment) Input on needed steps to improve livelihood opportunities/ efforts in the regions of intervention – from the perspective of the providers. Training Topics, Calendar and Cost Training Delivery Monitoring and Follow Up Tools Training Experience   Synthesized notes including: Consolidated feedback and comments on the support needed Recommended opportunities to improve livelihood opportunities. Analysis of all terms of refusal from businesses  Budget and Resources Required The payment will be made as 500 USD upon signature, and 1500 USD upon submission of the weekly deliverables as per the above. IMC will not be responsible for any further expenses during the assessment.   Qualifications: Experience required: 2 to 3 years Education degree: BA Field of education: Business, Economics or relevant related field.
