Network Engagement Manager

Summary of Position Search is seeking a Network Engagement Manager who will be responsible for the implementation of a project promoting the collaboration between Civil Society actors in Syria. In this position, the successful candidate will work closely with the Network Engagement Lead on management of operations, planning, and reporting tasks. More specifically, the Network Engagement Manager will be responsible for  day-to-day operations, ensuring that activities are completed on-time, within budget, and with high-quality results.   Responsibilities Leadership and Management Lead the project team composed of 3  field managers and 6 field officers in Syria; give strategic guidance; ensure coordination and motivation of the team; address health and well-being of the team and among partners; and ensure quality assurance; Ensure project team is structured, motivated effectively to enable achievement of agreed project goals; Coordinate with the finance team, DM&E Coordinator and Syria Program Specialist to make sure that tasks are distributed and clear and that all necessary information regarding the implementation of the project is shared with all project team; In collaboration with the Program Director, lead the development and management of relationships with the donor, key agencies, partners and individuals, as required, to support the achievement of the project plan; Manage the implementation of project activities in a timely manner ensuring good quality action and credible outcomes; Develop a capacity building plan for the field managers and officers to enhance their project management and reporting  skills; Develop and maintain proactive, positive and professional relationships with partners, other NGOs, donors, politicians, key government officials, civil society groups, religious groups, and media outlets; Identify and maintain relations with local organizations and local authorities to ensure sustainability of the action; Oversee the implementation of activities to achieve agreed outcomes and outputs in logical framework and liaise with stakeholders on the design and implementation; Collaborate with the Senior Projects Manager and the Program Director on the implementation of the project; Take overall responsibility for the timely delivery of results. Monitoring, evaluation and reporting In collaboration with the DM&E Coordinator, developing and overseeing inception and development phases for projects, including recognized tools such as logical frameworks, theories of change and impact frameworks; Ensuring the project is monitored effectively, that data is reported to the donor, risks are highlighted and that lessons are learned from the experience of delivering the project by the project team, partners and other significant stakeholders; Develop regular reports on project activities. Financial management Ensure the project is managed and delivered in accordance with all agreed financial standards and targets, taking remedial action where required; Develop regular reports on project finances including BVA review, costed workplans, etc,... Risks and Compliance Ensure the project meets all relevant internal and external compliance and donor requirements (financial, HR, quality management, regulatory, security etc.), to ensure that Search operates legally, with integrity, and in a way that manages risk effectively. As job descriptions cannot be exhaustive, the position holder may be required to undertake other duties that are broadly in line with the above key duties. Requirements and Qualifications: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of related experience, including project financial management experience. Deep knowledge and familiarity with the Syrian context. Strong knowledge of the practice of peacebuilding and conflict transformation in conflict contexts. Knowledge of major donor rules and regulations, and the ability to manage and prioritize multi-donor funding Significant experience in project management in a non-profit environment Skills Proven ability to negotiate multiple relationships with various partners. Dynamic leader with creative problem solving skills, particularly in challenging situations Excellent interpersonal and networking skills Spoken and written fluency in English and Arabic. Experience in facilitating dialogue between highly divided communities. Strong oral and written communications skills. Demonstrated writing and grants management skills. Cultural sensitivity and adaptability. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel. Strong organizational skills and attention to-detail.
