Position Aim:
The Administration/ Community Outreach Officer will be responsible for the administrative work as well as registration and communication with the families at a Non-formal Education Center. S/he will also supervise and coordinate the community based education related activities such as outreaching, implementing awareness raising activities and referring/ following-up families in need of support.
Responsibilities:
Administrative duties:
Oversee the registration of families and children with the programs at the center
Supervise daily attendance of the children
Responsible for communication with families regarding children’s educational and social matters
Responsible for announcements of the center’s activities
Keep and maintain all the family records, files and data in an organized way
Plan and coordinate the center schedule
Maintain the center’s facilities and equipment, and take inventory of assets
Handle petty cash and give financial reports with required documents to the project manager
Take part and assist with the implementation of educational activities at the center
Attend the meetings with all employees at the center regularly
Community based duties:
Supervise the implementation of community activities which include outreach, household visitations and awareness raising activities
Refer education and/ or child protection related issues to relevant organizations and follow-up on referred cases
Build and maintain good relationship with the local stakeholders and create effective coordination with them for the implementation of activities
Others:
Prepare and give documented monthly report to the Project Manager
Ensure a strict adherence to ADRA Lebanon Child Protection Policies at all times, including respect for confidentiality and child centred approach, and ensure the best interests of the child
Any other tasks deemed appropriate to the position
Qualifications:
Required:
University degree in Education, Social Work or related fields
Experience in working with families and children
Experience in coordination and supervising the staffs
Computer skills (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Preferred:
INGO or NGO experience
Experience in working with the refugee population
