Program Coordinator – Education

Under the direct supervision of the Program Manager and in close coordination with ECED advisor, the Program Coordinator – Education is expected to undertake the following:   Supervise and manage the Education Program at Taawon including the day to day planning and implementation of projects and activities to ensure the proper achievement of program deliverables in terms of cost, time and quality. Liaise and coordinate with the partner NGOs and support them for the efficient and effective implementation of the Education Program activities; conduct regular field visits and meetings and provide all necessary technical back up to them. Solicit and review technical and financial reports from partner NGOs, ensure reporting and relevant documentations are up to standards  and fulfill the technical requirements Build and maintain effective networks with the different concerned stakeholders in Education including UNRWA, partner NGOs, donors and the various implementing actors involved Liaise with colleagues from different programs and work in close collaboration with the ECED advisor or other officers responsible for other education initiatives within Taawon Draft progress reports in accordance with Taawon’s templates and/or donor’s requirements; prepare success stories and any relevant documentations or visibility and communication material related to the Education Program Manage the program’s financials and ensure expenditures are made in accordance with the Taawon’ s and the donors’ rules and regulations. Maintain accurate and organized financial records relevant to the different parts the program Support  internal or external evaluation exercise(s) or need assessments for the different projects under the Education Program and provide all necessary information  and documentations Support in resource mobilization and advise on possible funding opportunities for potential education initiatives; assist in drafting of project proposals or relevant fundraising activities Suggest and propose new initiatives for implementation toward the improvement of the education conditions of Palestinian refugees  Perform any other duties as requested by Programs Manager   Required Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Studies or any relevant field A minimum of 5 years working experience Demonstrated project management experience Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills; proven ability to be flexible in a team-oriented approach with diverse groups of people Computer literate (Excel, PPT, etc) Fluent in English and Arabic Language (spoken and written) Familiarity with the Palestinian refugees context in Lebanon Previous experience working in a humanitarian/relief context
