Job Summary In the Middle East, including Lebanon, International Medical Corps has developed an Innovative appraoch of providing integrated case management for survivors of gender-based violence through its broader mental health and psychosocial support case managment program.  This integrated case managment appraoch is provided by the MHPSS case workers who work with affected populations, including survivors, that have multiple and complex needs and require a comprehensive case management appraoch which identifies, supports, and protects those who are vulnerable and promotes stablitly and recovery. GBV and MHPSS integrated case management ensures that survivors can access different levels of care, including more specialized mental health support if needed and requested that is still survivor centered.   Tasks & Responsibilities 1.    Promote and introduce the International Medical Corps (IMC) integrated approach to GBV services to institutions, centers, PHCs and individuals. 2.    Plan and conduct psycho-social support sessions to beneficiaries at the primary health care centers, community centers and outreach field level. PSS sessions will include a pre/post wellbeing measurement, session evaluation, performance evaluation and other M&E tools. 3.    Provide age appropriate counseling for vulnerable girls and children while being mindful of how to care for child survivors and working in the best interest of the child. 4.    Contribute and regularly update service mapping of service providers within the area of intervention to ensure that GBV caseworkers are informed of all relevant and available services. 5.    Safe identification and referral for beneficiaries to GBV case managers, 6.    Identify opportunities for awareness raising, whether at a community center or other safe space. Plan the sessions to include children or children and caregivers.   7.    Organize focus group discussions on relevant information when needed. 8.    To identify protection concerns of young girls and women within the community they are working in; i.e. any trends should be reported to GBV officer and advocate for gaps in PSS activities or services. 9.    Prepare and submit reports in timely manner. 10.  Attend IMC and other trainings when relevant training is available in coordination with GBV Program Officer and/or Program Manager.  11.  Prepare, take-part and document meetings. 12.  Attend meetings with Program manager and/or Officer when such meetings are planned. 13.  Engage men and boys within the GBV-IMC Program and promote Gender Equality. 14.  Report directly to GBV-Officer. Reporting: Monthly quantitative and detailed qualitative reports. Ad-hoc reports of any incident or new trends. Coordination meeting minutes Other reports as requested by the GBV program officer. Qualifications: University degree in Social Work or related fields (BA or Masters) Minimum 2 years in the field of social work. Fluency in English and Arabic is required. Previous experience working with GBV survivors, previous experience working in MHPSS is a plus. Previous NGO experience is a plus. Adheres to ethical considerations and principles in regards to working with vulnerable populations.   “Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards within International Medical Corps and amongst beneficiaries served by International Medical Corps.”
