Job Summary:                To provide assistance to Systems Director in implementation, architectural, operational and maintenance support for the organisations IT Systems and associated ICT infrastructure, and to respond to and resolve technical support requests from users in an efficient and effective manner. Duties and Responsibilities             The position holder will undertake the following duties Asset Management  Liaise with Logistics in maintaining a register of IT equipment – hardware, software and network equipment. Track and control the movement of equipment. Track and control equipment being added to the network by visiting staff and consultants ensuring compliance with procedures for such movements and data exchange.  Allocated ICT equipment to newly arriving staff, and ensure this is recovered from them at the end of their contracts. Prepare an asset replacement plan for key items of equipment. Raise SRs for new IT and communication equipment when this is required, and oversee procurement of ICT assets and consumables. System Maintenance and Design  Implement organisation’s standard IT policies and procedures, monitor compliance and report breaches. Maintain a file of maintenance and support contracts. Maintain a schedule of hardware and software upgrades (e.g. virus protection) and ensure all PCs are kept up to date with operating systems patches and antivirus software. Install and configure software applications in compliance with the Concern Worldwide IT Policy and Guidelines Assist regular monitoring and maintenance work on the network seeking where possible to prevent faults occurring.  Implementation and support of ICT infrastructure including Internet communication links and related hardware WAN and VPN site links and related hard ware Remote access infrastructure Wireless LANs standards. Maintain the cabling  system functioning 24/7  Build PCs and Servers in accordance with procedures and specifications by Dublin IT Assist in creating and managing user and email accounts in closed consultation with ICT Regional Advisor Assist in maintaining accurate records of users and usage of the network and use this information to generate relevant and user friendly statistics.  Assist in implementing IT systems performance reviews and security monitoring in line with specified guidelines. Manage the automated backup system and ensure off site backups are maintained. Identify possible improvements that can be made to ICT systems using new technology. Support  Acknowledge support calls and gather and log all relevant information regarding ICT issues  Answer user queries, track IT support and coordinate with the regional ICT advisor and Helpdesk to satisfy user requests within existing IT standards and procedures. Training   Provide regular refresher training to staff on IT policy Conduct inductions for new arrivals to Concern in IT policy and procedure  Other  Investigate and report problems with office support systems (e.g. photocopiers, printers and scanners) and liaise with service providers to ensure faults are repaired as quickly as possible Support Concern’s work in Lebanon by undertaking other tasks as appropriate and required    Qualifications  Degree in Computer Science Minimum of two years’ experience working in an IT environment. Excellent communication skills in Arabic Good knowledge of spoken and written English is essential Commitment to humanitarian principles and values. Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive data with the proper discretion and security Report writing skills  Good communication skills within the team Good organization and planning skills
