Middle East Internal Mobility Manager

Médecins Sans Frontières, an international medical and humanitarian association founded in 1971, provides medical assistance to communities faced with crises endangering their survival. These crises typically take the form of armed conflict but also include epidemics, natural catastrophes and even exclusion from healthcare. The French section of MSF is present in some thirty countries worldwide.   Mission The main objective of this position is to promote the career mobility of national staff from the Middle East. The Middle East Internal Mobility Manager will select staff available and interested in being deployed to MSF missions globally for short, middle, and long-term postings as part of individualized career paths. S/he will accompany individuals and field teams in the identification of suitable candidates and opportunities for detachment/expatriation. S/he will help define training plans in order to provide the skills necessary for the preparation of selected candidates.   Main duties -          Identify an internal talent pool of reservists and future coordinators; -          Accompany selected candidates in the definition of their career projects and propose action plans; -          Contribute to the definition of the MSF internal mobility policy and ensure its implementation; -          Monitor needs and opportunities for detachment and coordinate placement with concerned teams; -          Advise MSF staff on training opportunities; -          Manage the administrative follow-up of career paths and keep related information up-to-date in the HR database; -          Provide operational HR support to field teams upon request.   Profile Previous experience with MSF as HR Coordinator and/or Project Coordinator Fluent in English; fluent or working knowledge in Arabic and/or French strongly preferable   Reporting Direct reporting to HR Officer(s) based in Dubai (Operational Cell #8) Technical reporting to Pool and Career Manager Coordinator based in Paris HQ   Terms of employment Position initially based in Amman, other locations in the Middle East could be considered.
