Case Worker Sgbv

 General duties and responsibilities: To ensure cases harmed or at risk of being harmed are identified and receive individual case management support by conducting documentation, assessments, action plans, direct service provision, referrals and follow ups for an assigned case load To provide support to vulnerable individuals/children/families with protection concerns in the process of psychosocial support and case management. To directly work with other caseworkers and service providers on management of caseload and referral Act at all times according to guiding principles of SGBV and Child Protection case management including:   A Survivor centred approach Ensuring confidentiality Prioritization according to safety concerns Anti-discriminatory practice Acting according to the best interests of the child/survivor Ensuring accountability Respecting professional boundaries and avoiding conflicts of interest     Case Management: Participate in and support the identification of individual cases identified by the team or referred by other agencies. Identify appropriate spaces to provide case management in mobile settings following principles of safety and respect; make recommendations to ensure spaces are made safe and appropriate for case management Conduct psychosocial assessment of vulnerable cases, including environmental, emotional, behavioural, and social factors as well as resources and strengths that impact the individual well-being. Plan with the CP or SGBV Team Leader to conduct home visits to assess the living conditions of the cases. Ensure the preparation of accurate case plans for high-risk cases identified with clear outcomes and time-frame. Advocate with different institutions and services providers to help beneficiaries to access needed resources and services. In collaboration with the Supervisor, ensure coordination with other service providers in the area of intervention for prompt referral, follow up and information sharing. Manage, fill, archive specific forms for cases profiling, referral and weekly reporting ensuring confidentiality, accuracy and timeliness. Collect accurate and confidential data on GBV service provision using the GBV Information Management System (SGBV Cases) Monitor and follow up the outcome of the assistance provided. Be available to provide basic emotional support for urgent cases. Participate in management of the hotline. Participate in weekly casework allocation and planning meetings. Ensure that data protection protocols are respected. Be available to participate in meetings and training in and outside the centre including case management meetings, case conference meetings or any other meetings when required. Communicate regularly with the Team Leader for updates on achievements and challenges Accomplish any other assignments allocated by line managers.  Psychosocial activities: Participate and collaborate in recreational, psychosocial, awareness activities conducted in or outside of the centre. Support the organization of specific events or activities inside or outside of the centre. Work closely with all Psychosocial Support Workers     Key Working Relationships:   Position Reports to:  CP or SGBV Team Leader Indirect Reporting: Unit Manager, Protection Coordinator Other Internal and/or external contacts: Internal: other members of the team and other MF programs on the field   External: local partner Monitoring and Reporting: Provide daily and weekly updates to the Team Leader on cases assessed and supported. Support the Team Leader in the production of daily weekly reports. Contribute to the update of the Makhzoumi Foundation case management system. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Good computer skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel…) Well-developed organizational and planning skills Self-motivation and strong team spirit Native Arabic speaker and fluent in English Excellent reporting skills Dynamic personality and ability to work under pressure Familiar with the Practical Guidance for Case Management document. Commitment to the values, vision and mission of the Makhzoumi Foundation Commitment to the Makhzoumi Foundation code of conduct Awareness of the Minimum Standards for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action (http://www.cpwg.net) Awareness of the IASC Guidelines for Gender-based Violence Interventions in Humanitarian Settings   Education & Experience:   Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Social work, Counselling, Psychology, Mental Health or other related field. 2 years work experience minimum of implementing protection programs, preferable social work or case management, in humanitarian or development settings Experience in working in a cross cultural environment preferable      Working Environment:  Office work, field visits or as part of mobile team.
