1. Terms of reference   Job title: Grant Writer (Consultant) Location: Based in Beirut, with field visit. Reporting to: Programme Coordinator Start date: ASAP End date: 31st of May 2017 Dependants: No  2. Tasks and responsibilities   Under the supervision of the Programme Coordinator, the consultant will perform the following tasks: Identification, preparation and writing of proposals to be submitted to Donors (Humanitarian Pooled Fund, BPRM, Italian Cooperation Agency), following INTERSOS validation processes and taking in account the donor guidelines Providing technical input for multi-sectorial survey tools to monitor programme implementation, as well as to collect information from beneficiaries.   External and internal coordination    Establishing and maintaining collaborative relations with relevant donor officers, local authorities, partners, project stakeholders and other organizations working in the project areas.   3. Required profile/experience Bachelor Degree and/or Master degree in humanitarian action or any related field Good experience in proposal writing, donor rules, validation procedures, coordination of processes. Experience in Project Cycle Management. Ability to write donor reports and proposals in excellent English. Gender approach acknowledgement would be an asset. Language:  English (compulsory working language, spoken, read and written); Motivation, Team work, Effective communication, Organization & Planning, Adaptability & Flexibility, Resistance to stress, Working towards Objectives, Negotiation. Salary and benefits Previous experience in Lebanon is required. Previous successful experiences in proposal writing is mandatory Deeply knowledge of the humanitarian coordination system in Lebanon is mandatory Previously working experience in Lebanon or on Syrian crises is required   Professional competencies: In-depth understanding and knowledge of multi-sector interventions, including WaSH and Shelter response programmes. Ability to set high standards for quality of work.   Technical competencies: Ability to manage human and technical resources. Facilitating and encouraging open communication in the team, communicating effectively. Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite. Fluent English is mandatory. Proficient level of Italian is desirable.
