Who are we?
Danish Refugee Council has been operatingin the Middle East and North Africa for over a decade, running a combination of livelihood, protection, advocacy and relief projects. DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia/Libya, Turkey, and both a country and regional office in Jordan.
DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities (registration, follow-up and awareness sessions) rehabilitation of collective shelters and the implementation of quick impact projects.

About the job
The Senior Partnerships Assistant will support the management of relationships with NGO and community based organization (CBO) partners in the field in North Lebanon. This position will be responsiblefor monitoring partner budgets, checking partner documents’ compliance with DRC and donor financial, HR and procurement guidelines, and supporting progress monitoring against capacity building and work plans.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Coordinate with Finance, HR and Procurement departments in DRC to ensure partners’ compliance with the partnership agreement.
• Monitorpartner documentsto be reviewed on a monthly basis and make sure they are in compliance with DRC and donor financial, HR and procurement guidelines, verifying if the documents are fully filled and submitted according to the partnership contract. Follow up with the partners where there are issues and support their ongoing improvements in this area in close coordination with Finance officers and Manager.
• Support the organisation of partner budgets and forecasts and monitor these to ensure plans are followed, and ensure the allocation of all expenditures are in line with the budget.
• Make sure installment plans and the settlement of the financial reports are submitted in a timely fashion in line with the requirements of the contract.
• Undertake monitoring and support visits to partners to check progress against capacity building and workplans and assist in building their operational capacities.
• Ensure that local partners understand and follow DRC’s donors’ requirements.
• Appropriately file partnership records for follow up and audit purposes.

Required qualifications:
• Minimum of 1 year of experience financial management and / or auditing
• Knowledge of finance and procurement standards
• Preferably to have experience of working with local NGOs and municipalities
• Bachelor degree in business administration, preferably auditing and finance.
• Training/workshops related to finance and procurement for NGOs
We offer
DRC will offer the successful applicant acontract until the end of September 2017, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work from May 2017 and be willing and able to work in the North (Tripoli or Qobayat).
Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment; please refer to www.drc.ngo under Vacancies. This position will be placed at level B+1 with a basic salary of 1450 USD, in addition to transportation and communication allowance.
