Grants Officer

Responsibilities -Developing, managing, delivering, and promoting the organization’s grants program .Ensure that the grants review and selection process in a manner that is responsible, professional, financially sound, participatory, sensitive to local needs, cultural and politics in accordance with organization policies and procedures. -Contributes to the development the Grants’ monitoring and evaluation frame work and assists in its implantation including baseline data gathering, monitoring,and evaluation strategies and systems to effectively project results. - Direct contact with donor. Follow up for all procedures from contacting and applying for grants, signed contracts/agreements, till reporting to donors. -Acting as a focal point between SDAID and donor, narrative reports and financial. Receiving and checking for following the agreement policies. -Establishing the Grants polices and agreements for the organization. -Responsible of writing and designing proposals, submitting Budgets with coordination with finance department. -PR, search for potential Grants and donors. -Coordination with departments to identify the gaps in sectors. - Responsible for explaining polices and donors regulations to the related departments. -Responsible for preparing tools, Grants matrix, Pipe line funds,… -Ensures the application of results-based management ( RBM) standards and agreed upon indicators. - Participates in the annual work planning and budgeting process for the Grants program. - Preparation of annual reports, annual work plans, status reports and other documents that may be requested by the Director. - Works on all administration aspects of the role to a timely and accurate standard.   Common responsibilities: -          Supportingcolleagues in delivering the organization’s objectives, including assisting in events and initiatives that fall outside the direct responsibilities of this post. -          Represents the organization at meeting, functions and events, some of which may occur outside normal office hours and may involve long –distance travel. -          Performs any other reasonable duties and tasks as requested by the organization. Requirements -Bachelor degree in Social sciences , Education , Development, or any equivalent studies. - Experience for 2-5 years in related position. -Proven experience in technical support work preferably in a developing organization. - Has a good knowledge of international developing issues, trends, and approaches. -Strong communication skills both written and verbal, experience in writing documentation of meetings and workshops. - Advanced computer skills, particularly MS office. - A team player, flexible, quick- thinking and able to work well under pressure. - Commitment to Organization’s vision, mission, values and goals.
