Job Purpose:
Act according to the guiding principles of Gender Based Violence (GBV) and Child Protection(CP) case management including: survivor centered approach, respect of confidentiality, prioritize according to safety concerns, ‘do not harm’, ensure a non-discriminatory approach, act according to the best interest of the child, ensure accountability, respect professional boundaries and avoid conflict of interest;
Ensure that protection principles are understood, maintained and enforced;
Provide direct support and care for vulnerable case with protection concerns (including survivors of gender-based violence), including psychosocial support and case management.
Generic Duties:
Detect, counsel and follow up individual cases identified during psychosocial activities by the team or referred by other agencies; or through community services and protection monitors where applicable.
Conduct psychosocial assessment of vulnerable cases, including environmental, emotional, behavioral, and social factors as well as resources and strengths that impact the individual well- being;
Plan with the Project Manager and Protection team to conduct home visits to assess the living conditions of the cases (especially PwSN) when appropriate, when needed, and if the individual or the survivor gives her/his consent;
Ensure the preparation of accurate case plans for high-risk cases identified with clear outcomes and time-frame.
Advocate with different institutions and service providers to help the clients to access needed resources and services
Ensure coordination and synergy with the main service providers in the area of intervention for prompt referral, follow up and information sharing;
Mapping of services in area of intervention and reporting information to Project Management
Manage, fill, archive specific forms for cases profiling, referral and weekly reporting ensuring confidentiality, accuracy and timeliness;
Monitor and follow up the outcome of the assistance provided;
10. Be available to provide basic emotional support for urgent cases;
11. Implement case management in the locations of intervention in accordance with all CM steps and related tools and procedures as defined through INTERSOS Protection Strategy addressing high risk cases and sharing with Project Management for possible intervention;
12. Manage the hotline according to the internal procedures and under Project Management supervision;
13. Ensure the provision of emergency cash assistance for the most vulnerable clients, according to the needs of the clients, the agreed criteria and the internal procedures and under the supervision of the Project Management;
14. Ensure that data protection protocol is respected;
15. Be available to participate in meetings and trainings in and outside the centres including case management meetings and case conferences meetings or any other meetings when required by Project Management;
16. Accomplish any other related assignments given by supervisors.
17. Ensure the provision of emergency cash assistance for the most vulnerable clients, according to the needs of the clients, the agreed criteria and the internal procedures and under the supervision of the Protection Officer supervision;
18. Ensure that data protection protocol is respected;
19. Be available to participate in meetings and trainings in and outside the centres including case management meetings and case conferences meetings or any other meetings when required by the Project Manager and/or Protection team;
20. Accomplish any other task not here listed if necessary to the projects achievement.
Specific Duties:
(Can be adapted to the particularities of the job location and the requirement of the project. This section shall be revised whenever a new employee is hired).
PSS Activities include:
Participate and collaborate in other activities (recreational, psychosocial, awareness, emotional support groups) conducted in the center or outside when requested by the Field Coordinator;
Support the organization of specific events or activities inside or outside the centres.
Monitoring and Reporting
Provide daily and weekly updates to Project Management about new cases assessed;
Contribute to the update of the Intersos case management system.

Professional Competencies:
- Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience.
- Computer literacy (Word, Excel)
- Reporting skills
- Driving License

- Willing to work extra hours and during the weekend if emergency cases arise
